| 12 of 13 people found the following review helpful  Only worth the money if you want to future-proof yourself, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SanDisk Mobile Ultra 32GB microSDHC Card SDSDQY-032G-U46 (Personal Computers) I only have an SDHC card reader and not an SDHC-I reader, so I can only test SDHC speed, but my findings were a bit lackluster.Original card: Transcend 8GB class 6 card Sequential Read: 15.4 MB/sec Sequential Write: 5.8 MB/sec New card: Sandisk 32GB class 6 card (30/mb sec version) Sequential Read: 18.6 MB/sec Sequential Write: 7.6 MB/sec Conclusion: For SDHC only hosts (and not the new, I hosts) this card is not worth the extra money. Normal SDHC 32GB cards will be enough for your device and you can save about $25 by going with a normal card. I bought this card to future proof myself with the new I standard. Hopefully when they become more common-place my extra money I spent on this card won't go to waste. The incompatible devices don't see the card at all.I have not been able to get it working in any high speed readers, so the fastest I have seen it perform was 20MB/s (equivalent to 133x). It's write speed goes up to about 8MB/s for large files (Which is why it is class 6 instead of class 10). So far, I'm not especially impressed with the performance. It seems to be on par with other "class 10" microSDHC cards for about double the price. I knew I had to get at least a class 4 card to keep up with 1080p recording without affecting the video quality in a negative way.I have always known San Disk to be a trustworthy brand that doesn't make claims about their products that don't hold up... However with this card I found myself slightly disappointed. I ran a few benchmarks on two different San Disk 32GB Ultra Micro SD cards and both achieved similar scores, bare with the averages I use with the speeds, I know that KBs and MBs don't round off to perfect 1000s but it's easier to generalize it that way... Using ATTO Disk Benchmark I was able to achieve a max of about 9100KB/s Write and 22000KB/s Read on both cards. With those results (over about 4 tests each card) I can assume that with optimum conditions the San Disk should be able to reach the 30MB/s (30000KB/s)... Read more |
